These files have smooth, undamaged flutes, they are ground from hardened high speed steel blanks. They are used for filing mild steels and pliable, stringy materials like aluminum, brass, lead, plastics, and magnesium. They are used in machines with flexible shafts and air tools, at medium speeds. They are suitable for deburring and finishing curvilinear surface profiles and circular holes.
