These files have smooth, undamaged flutes, they are ground from hardened high speed steel blanks. They can fit into narrow areas and are used for filing mild steels and pliable, stringy materials like aluminum, brass, lead, plastics, and magnesium. They are best used in machines with flexible shafts and air tools, at medium speeds.
